Introduction
Portrait is something that i'm comfortable with. But I'm not a type of person that always carries a selfie stick with him at all times. But i do enjoy taking portraits of other people. I want to start to experimenting with different filters in photoshop. I have an idea in my head of making a collage of my face and each collage piece would have a different type of shade or colour splashed into it. I have some example of some ideas I found on the web that I want to involve into my portraits. I really like what the photographers done to these photos. they choose colours that can catch peoples eyes and I want to include this element into my photographs.
I took some pictures of myself i tried to make a collage of my face. I'm going to start adding colours to each piece to get the same effect as my web images.
Photoshoped.
One day my teacher asked me how do i see the world. Then i thought to me self how do i see the world in my eyes? Then i've decided to make my 3 copies of me 1 at the front one in the middle and one at the back. I'm trying to portray that i am aware of what is going on all round me. I've made the middle copy most visible to me i think the middle person is the most important.

Im very happy for what i have achieved in this piece because i always wanted to find out how i looked like with 3 heads and I'm very happy how i created the 3 faced me.I've tried to make a 3 faced of my self . I made 2 but i've decided to put this up because I wanted my middle picture to show the most and have 2 eyes looking from the sides.
Man Ray
Alfred stieGlitz (Man rays influencer). |
In 1915 Man Ray met French artist Marcel Duchamp, and together they worked together on many inventions and formed the New Work group of Dada artists. His experiments with photography included rediscovering how to make “camera-less” pictures, which he called rayographs. He studied drawing with Robert Henri at the Ferrer Center, and frequented Alfred Stieglitz’s gallery 291. It later became obvious that Ray had been influenced by Stieglitz's photographs. He used a similar style, snapping images that provided an unvarnished look at the subject.
Ray also found inspiration at the Armory Show of 1913, which showed the work of Pablo Picasso, Wassily Kandisky and Marcel Duchamp. After experimenting with a Cubist style of painting, he moved to an another passion called abstraction. In 1921, Ray moved to Paris. There he carried on to be a part of the artistic avant garde. Ray became famous for his portraits and his artistic talents. He also developed an amazing career as a fashion photographer, taking pictures for such magazines as Vouge. These commercial endeavors supported his fine art efforts. A photographic innovator, Ray discovered a new way to create interesting images by accident is his darkroom. Called "Rayographs." these photos were made by placing and manipulating objects on pieces of photosensitive paper. Something i've learnt from Man Ray is that sometimes accidents get you farther in life. As it said he discovered new ways to create images by accidents in the dark room. |
